France’s Claim About Iran’s Nuclear Program Is Completely Baseless
WANA (May 02) – The spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that the French Foreign Minister’s assertion that Iran is “on the verge of developing nuclear weapons” is entirely baseless and unfounded.
In a post on X, Esmaeil Baghaei, reacting to the French minister’s statement, wrote: “Such false remarks, combined with threats of reimposing sanctions on Iran, reinforce the suspicion that France’s critical stance is transforming into a disruptive role. This approach will certainly add nothing to France’s credibility or its standing in Europe and the world.”
Jean-Noël Barrot, the French Foreign Minister, recently made politically motivated and unfounded claims about the Islamic Republic of Iran’s peaceful nuclear program — including the baseless allegation that “Iran is on the verge of developing nuclear weapons.”
